What to pack for the camp

Summers in Hungary can be really hot in the daytime, so it is important to bring sun screen and comfortable summer clothes. However, it does rain sometimes and evenings can get very cold, so please think of bringing warm and waterproof clothing and shoes (closed and secure for building)!

We provide 3 meals daily cooked by an amazing staff under a renowned chef from Budapest, who uses food provided by local suppliers. We are familiar with any type of food allergy, so you do not need to bring your own food, as we are able to adapt to your needs.

Your fee covers the whole provision during your time at Csóromfölde!  We want to make sure, you will have a good time at our summer school!

How to get there

Participants should arrive to Budapest by the evening of 14th July the latest, to be able to reach the bus going to Csóromfölde (departing at Népliget bus station) in the morning of 15th July.

The buses depart EXACTLY at 9.45 AM.

The meeting point will be in the waiting room, above the ticket office at 9:15 AM. Please be on time because the buses can’t wait!

If you wish to arrive by yourself (train, bus, bike etc.) you can do so. Just make sure you reach the site by the 15th July at 11 am latest!

If you have any difficulty with reaching that particular bus, let us know.

We will organise also a bus back to Budapest on the last day of the summer school (21th July). The bus will depart at around 12.18 PM and arrive at Népliget bus station at around 3.30 PM.

Please tell us in advance, in case you want to take any of these busses so we can organise them for the exact amount of people!

Do I need a laptop?

You will not need any computerised methods for the duration of the summer school. To ensure the “thinking with our hands” approach, we in fact ask participants to leave their laptops behind to enjoy all the summer school has to offer.

Travelling back

The summer school is organised in a rural area, with accommodation provided by smaller huts scattered around the field. Every unit has 5 beds. They are comfortable but also only semi-closed, so you have to bring warm clothes for the night!
You can also camp if you’d like, as it gives you the most privacy and a real camp experience, also it can be the best option for cold nights. In this case please bring your tent.

We do not organise the busses back to Budapest but we will hang out timetables of their departments, so everyone can decide for themselves, when to leave the site on the final day.

Of course we will provide help, should you have any problems.

You can find more information on this website under "FAQ".
