Project Leaders - Martial Marquet and Vojtech Nemec

BIO

Martial Marquet and Vojtech Nemec met for the first time at the Hellowood in 2015. They have collaborated ever since on multiple projects.

 

Martial graduated in architecture in 2009 at Sci Arc Los Angeles & Ecole Spéciale d'Architecture Paris and received a postgrad in 2012 of product design at ENSCI, Paris. After working for various architecture and design firm like Bernard Tschumi Architects, or Didier Faustino Studio he started his own studio in 2014. His work is focusing on creating places that connects people in public space or in the landscape. He has built various scale projects between design and architecture in France and abroad like in Portugal, Lao DPR or Cuba. He is now teaching at the Art & Design School of Valenciennes (fr) and Versailles’ National Architecture School (fr). He is frequently guest critic and lecturer in several architecture and design school in France and abroad.

 

Vojtech just finished his diploma at the London School of Architecture, where he relocated after the Glasgow School of Art. His working experience includes offices in Czech Republic, Germany, France and the UK. He currently works at Acme in London. Prior to his studies abroad Vojtech co-founded and ran a local collective - Zijeme tady - in Prague encouraging public engagement in Prague.
