About the project

We want to build a puzzle-like giant table where the single pieces become masks representing the individual students, whereas the recomposed whole will provide a Carnival banquet, inviting guests to explore an archipelago of different forms, postures, symbols.

Project Leaders - Space Saloon, Lemonot, Zsofia Sonia Illes

Space Saloon is a design laboratory on the move that builds communities, promotes tolerance, and fosters engagement through transdisciplinary forms of knowledge. Founded by Danny Wills and Gian Maria Socci, it gathers architects, artists, researchers and students in exploring new frontiers for design education through landscape’s hidden potentials.

Lemonot is a design and research platform co-founded by Sabrina Morreale and Lorenzo Perri, who graduated together from the AA in London in 2016. Their work investigates architectural production and its implications on other disciplines. They use Architecture as a methodology to reach different outcomes: from toys to pastry tools, from tattoos to storytelling.

Zsofia Sonia Illes is a visual artist who works collaboratively with experts across art, design, science and architecture, to create work that is socially and environmentally driven. She has developed projects for TATE Britain, London Design Week, and Istanbul Biennale, and she is currently working for the Contemporary Architecture Center (KÉK) as a program curator.
